Breeding Base
I. Company Nature
Jikeda Breeding Co., Ltd. in Jinzhong is a private enterprise. It is a comprehensive company that integrates quail breeding stock cultivation, quail hatching and breeding, feed processing, breeding equipment procurement, and organic fertilizer production into a unified operation.
Established in 2018 and located in Yanjiagou Village, Haobei Town, Yushe County, Shanxi Province, the company covers an area of over 180 mu (approximately 12 hectares) and is one of the larger-scale quail breeding enterprises in Shanxi Province.
II. Operational Status
The company has currently invested over RMB 47 million to construct 9 breeding workshops totaling 9,000 square meters. This includes 7 egg-laying workshops (7,000 sqm) and 2 brooding workshops (2,000 sqm). Equipped with 2 sets of brooding facilities, the company can brood 300,000 quail chicks per batch over a standard 21-day brooding period. Equipped with 8 sets of incubators, the company can hatch 720,000 quail chicks per batch over a standard 17-day incubation period.
The company's main products are quail eggs, quail chicks, and organic fertilizer. In 2020, the company produced over 1,800 tons of quail eggs, hatched 6 million commercial quail chicks, and generated a total output value exceeding RMB 30 million, including revenue from organic fertilizer sales.
The current breeding scale reaches 1.5 million birds. Daily production capacity includes 7 tons of quail eggs. Under normal operation, an average of 37,000 commercial chicks are hatched daily, generating approximately RMB 100,000 in daily revenue.
III. Social Benefits
The company leases over 180 mu of land in Yanjiagou Village and Baizhuang Village at RMB 800 per mu per year, providing an annual land rental income of RMB 150,000 to the local communities. Actively fulfilling its social responsibilities, the company sponsors 2 students from disadvantaged backgrounds and provides over 500 cubic meters of organic fertilizer free of charge to surrounding villagers.
IV. Development Plans
This year, the company plans to complete the equipment installation for a 1,200 sqm feed processing workshop. Once operational, this workshop will process and utilize over 50,000 tons of local corn annually, fundamentally addressing the local difficulties in selling corn. An investment of RMB 5 million will be made to construct a new 1,000 sqm fresh-keeping storage facility, which will effectively mitigate the impact of pandemic situations on quail egg sales.
The company's development goal for the next five years is to establish a local 2.8 million-bird quail breeding base. Concurrently, it will advance feed technology R&D, improve quail breeding stock varieties, and upgrade quail breeding equipment. The aim is to progressively achieve integrated development across the entire industry chain, encompassing quail product processing, brand building, and fertilizer business expansion, ultimately establishing itself as a local "Premium Specialty" industry.
